Hi-Tek Art is a how-to, do-it-yourself art show appealing to
crafters, hobbyists, woodworkers, model builders, robotics
enthusiasts and artists of all ages. It joins modern
animatronic technology with arts and crafts in a 21st century
way.
Hi-Tek Art features Ron Proulx and his eclectic team as they
conceive, create and reveal the most amazing interactive
motion design scenes. They’ll use wood, foam, paint,
sculpture, latex, lights, scripting, sound, music, robotics,
animatronic motion technology and other multimedia
elements to create these spectacular miniaturized artistic
creations.
Ron Proulx has been creating animatronic art for over 30
years and has created pieces for Steven Spielberg,
Muhammad Ali and former First Lady Rosalyn Carter. Hi-Tek
Art is shot in a lively and entertaining cable-style format
while maintaining the informative style PBS viewers expect
and love.
